Accessibility Tips and Tricks

Buzz words in the digital accessibility world are sometimes foreign to us.  We may be familiar with color contrast and screen readers, but what exactly is Section 508 compliance, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG pronounced “wick ag”), Alternative (alt) text, focus order, a11y (pronounced “a one one why”), Accessible Rich Internet Application (ARIA pronounced “ah-ree-yah”)?  How are we supposed to keep all of these in mind when developing course materials?  Don’t despair!  We will review these and more in depth throughout the coming weeks. A cheat sheet can be found at Accessibility Glossary Terms.
