Did You Know?

The College of Engineering has a new Digital Accessibility Coordinator, Ashley Bricker. Moving forward, Ashley will be working to improve accessibility awareness, provide the tools we all need to improve our practices and materials, and support every member of the College's accessibility needs in creation, remediation, evaluation, improvement, training, and purchasing. Look for more upcoming opportunities and announcements around accessibility.

If you have an accessibility question or need advice/assessment, please contact ETS at either https://ets.osu.edu or etshelp@osu.edu.

Upcoming Work

  • On Wednesday, March 23 at 10:00 P.M., ETS will start the process that updates all COE Linux systems (ETS managed systems only).  Please ensure that any Linux systems you, or a group you manage uses, are powered on before March 23 to ensure they are updated and rebooted (kernel updates require reboots).  The process will take some time and will run overnight. We do not expect the update process to cause interruptions, but we recommend you save any open documents before 10:00 P.M. on March 23.

  • On Thursday, March 24 at 7:15 A.M, ETS will reboot all the ETS managed Linux systems. Please save your work and logoff before 7:15 A.M. on March 24 to avoid losing any unsaved work.

If you encounter any issues on your Linux system(s) after 9:00 A.M. on March 24, please contact ETS by one of the methods below, and include this information:  1) note that it's a Linux system, 2) the hostname of the system, and 3) the location (if known), and someone will assist you as soon as they are available.

  • Saturday, April 2 from 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. - Power to the ETS Data Center in Dreese Lab 886, 894 & 898 will be shut off to facilitate the installation of a new fire alarm system. For those with research equipment in Dreese Lab, please plan to shut your equipment down before 7:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 2. Any long running experiments/computations should be scheduled so they are complete well before this time.
