The College of Engineering is a large interdisciplinary organization with the goal of providing a distinctive and enabling environment for teaching, learning, discovery, innovation and creative expression that transforms and enriches individuals and society. Achieving this goal requires requires students and faculty from different departments to have the ability to collaborate on a range of computer systems.
The College of Engineering Active Directory (CoE AD) leverages university credentials to provide single sign-on authentication to information systems in academic departments and research centers across the college. The CoE AD also provides customized authorization to access resources like storage, printing, laboratory instrumentation, instructional computing, and high performance computing. The CoE AD enables secure computing while affording the ability for interdisciplinary collaboration between students, faculty, and staff from different departments and centers on a range of computer systems and services.
